BusinessGreen Leaders Awards 2018 Finalists

In conjunction with Cobham plc and Intertek Group plc, Accuvio are delighted to announce our recent shortlisting as finalists for the 2018 BusinessGreen Leaders Awards.

Now in its 8th year, the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards recognise outstanding achievements across 25 diverse categories, from Investor of the Year to Green Infrastructure Project of the Year. Final winners will be announced next month at an award ceremony gala at The Brewery, London. The event brings Sustainability Leaders together to celebrate the organisations and individuals that ensure environmental and social impacts remain at the top of board room agendas. We’ll be there on the night supporting Cobham plc for Digital Project of the Year and Intertek Group plc’s Josh Egan for Young Sustainability Executive of the Year.

Digital Project of the Year - Cobham plc Overcoming Hard-to-Reach Data with Accuvio

This category showcases companies that are harnessing the power of technology and digital innovation to adapt their practices and enhance environmental performance. As is the case in many sustainability teams, Cobham consistently struggled to collect elusive data across multiple departments and business functions. Knowing the insight and value of this hard-to-reach data, Cobham plc partnered with Accuvio Sustainability Software in 2017 and began tackling this issue and expanding their reach. Using Accuvio’s integrated survey response tool, the data return process was simplified, and results were maximised.  Leaving the Accuvio system to take care of all the response data compilation and aggregation, the team has rapidly transformed unknown variables into a true-to-life, actionable analysis of impacts across the organisation.

Young Sustainability Executive of the Year - Josh Egan, Intertek Group plc

This category searches for sustainability executives under the age of 35 who have endless energy for raising the profile of environmental impacts resulting from the carbon-based economy. The award serves to recognise young innovators whose high-profile role in grappling with their organisation’s sustainability initiatives has led to substantial improvements in performance. As Investor Relations Director at Intertek Group plc, Josh Egan is part of an emerging driving force in corporate sustainability. Noting increasing investor requirements for Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) data, Intertek partnered with Accuvio Sustainability Software in 2017 to standardise their global sustainability data management and redefine their reporting practices. Josh Egan championed this global project from the beginning and is instrumental in translating environmental issues into relevant metrics for management and investors to advance further improvements in Intertek’s environmental performance. While he hails from an Investor Relations background, after a stellar global revitalisation of Intertek’s sustainability reporting processes across 100 countries globally, he has taken Intertek’s environmental reporting to the next level.
